I got back to working on Chad today. I shaded his skin. Could have gotten farther, but I experimented with some different shadow colors before going back to a pretty standard brown. (I tried a browner green and then a somewhat desaturated blue-green, but wasn't happy with either.) Next will be skin highlights.
I have decided that Chad is going to be blond, and he's going to be a goldfish.
