Arena: Banners, Medallions

Since finishing Lucifer, I've been working on the arena walls. I'll continue to do so until June gets here, and then I'll start my June figure.

Anyway, I did shading and highlights on the banners on all four wall sections I have going currently, and did the shading and highlights on the bronze shields on this one. I need to do the shields on the other three, then cleanup the stone areas where I slopped paint, and then they'll be put aside to wait until everything is ready for wash.

Lucifer: Wings, Spear

I did the last set of Lucifer's wings tonight, and the top section of his spear. All that's left is the bottom part of the spear.

I tried photographing him against one of my backdrops, and it helped. He's a little big for the backdrop, though. I have a couple bigger ones around somewhere that I'll have to see if I can find.

Lucifer: Wings

I'd planned to finish off the spear next, but I really wanted to see pieces coming together tonight. So instead, I did wings. Four of them are complete and glued in place. Two more wings to go, then the spear.

He's now big enough that getting pictures is a problem. Also, the Musou Black paint on the wings doesn't photograph well.

Lucifer: Skirt Shading & Highlights

Finished up the skirt today - that was the rest of the shading, and then the highlights. I have to decide if it'll be better to do the spear or wings first, and I'm thinking spear.

Lucifer: Sword, Skirt

Finished the sword, and did a first round of highlights on his skirt. So far, so good. I think I need to go back and deepen the shadows on his face, though. Now that there's color on the rest of him, the face looks washed out. I don't want to make him look craggy, but I think he needs more.

Lucifer: Sword

The gold on the sword is done. Next time I need to finish the black and the red gem. Then I'll move on to cleaning up the spots on the skirt where I've slopped other colors, and then shading and highlighting on it.
