Shaded and highlighted just the cloth part of the drapery area on Medusa. I still need to do the transparent areas. Based on the red I picked and the other color selections, I decided to go with highlights that were moving toward pink, which I don't usually do. It looks a little odd to me, but I'm hoping that's because I don't usually go towards pink with my red highlights.
And I finally got some primer on Orlando and put a base coat of flesh color on his face.

Medusa: Hair, Drapery. Orc: Flesh
I had some time where I had to wait for putty on Orlando to cure and glue from some cat-related repairs on Medusa to dry before I could work on either of them, so I started this orc to pass the time. This will be a tabletop quality guy that I'll work on when I feel like puttering. Or have to repair more cat damage.
When I could get back to Medusa, I worked on finishing her hair and its snakes and started on the lower drapery. I plan to try doing transparent fabric with both it and her veil. It still needs shadows, highlights, and for the transitions to be smoothed a bit, but I think it's an OK start.

15, 16!
Finished both Shub-Niggurath and Jeannie today.
Also started on one of my next projects. This is Orlando. He's going to be a bit of a project in that I'm going to have to work on him bit by bit and attach pieces as I go. For instance, his right leg joins at the hip, but there's stuff underneath that can be visible. So I had to paint the inside of his thighs, then glue it together, then I'll have to fill that joint on the outside and clean it up before moving on. The head was safe to attach so I did that, but his arms will have to go on after the rest of him is painted.

Jeannie
I didn't feel like working on something I wanted to put a ton of effort into today, so I went back to Jeannie. I got most everything done except the smoke and her base. The smoke will not be that green when I'm done with it. I'll work on her next time, and should be able to get her finished by the end of the year.

Shub's Base, Medusa's Skin & Hair
Added paint and the first round of water effects to Shub's base. The water effect will hopefully clear as it cures. I will probably add another layer of that tomorrow for depth, and then when it has cured, glue him on and be done.
I also finished Medua's skin, including a tattoo, and put a base coat on her hair.

Shub's Base, Medusa's Skin
Added stuff to Shub's base. Sticks, leaf litter, flock, grassy bits. Stuff. I think it filled it in quite nicely, though I wish I had more sticks. Next I'll paint that stuff, then put in the water effects.
I also continued work on Medusa's skin. This is with shading and a first round of highlights; I will probably add another highlight step. I mixed a dark green in to the deepest shadows, and I think I like it for this skin tone.
I'm also thinking about putting a tattoo on her butt.

Shub: Maw. Medusa: Skin
Here's Shub, with his maw and tongue finished. That's it for the paint on him, I think.
And so, moving on to his base. I've glued the plastic bit to the base and added some putty and stone to build up the area that will be swampy.
I started on Medusa today as well. Here's the base coat for her skin. Going with Reaper's Olive Skin for the base.
