I worked on the NMM on the spear head tonight. It's not great, and I might have continued to mess with it had my arm not started to complain. I might do a bit more, I might just move on. Not sure yet. Next will be highlights on the spear shaft and leather straps. Huh,,,the highlights are much less visible in these pictures. Yeah, might need to revisit that.
Today I did highlighting on the armor, and base coated remaining bits. I need to do some cleanup and smoothing on that armor.
I actually started on the mermaid's armor and spear a few days ago, but didn't have a chance to get pictures right after and then forgot to do it later. Anyway, it's coming along.
I worked on the mermaid's skin tonight. I don't think I'll do much more with it.
Finished out the base colors for the tail and fins. I'm a little concerned that the purple might be too much in the stripes, but I'm going to go with it. It can't be worse than the last mermaid with the red tail.
Next I'm going to go back to shading and highlighting, starting with the skin and face.
Tonight I put stripes on the mermaid's tail, and started the purple part on a couple of her fins. I like it, but I'm still concerned it might end up too busy.
So, since last I posted here, I spent a bunch of time focusing on a commission piece that I can't show here, and I built a little model house. That I have pictures of that I'll put up here at some point.
I'm working on another commission, but I've also started another mermaid. I'm going to try to get them all finished; I think there's only one more after this one.
I'm also going to put stripes on her tail and add some purple to at least the fins, maybe also the stripes.
