Gold, Shub

Remember the piles of gold experiments? I went back to the last round and painted them.

Not bad. They definitely get the idea across. I have one more thing to try, but I think these - particularly the ones with lots of glitter mixed in with white glue - will be adequate.

I also got back to Shub today. I've started putting highlights on the main body, starting with his hindquarters.

I decided to stick with finishing things up today, and wrapped up the dwarf. I'll get back to Shub tomorrow.

I decided to try to wrap up some partly done things today, starting with Six. Here she is, all done!

Also got back to that dwarf ranger and put a base coat on her belt and cloak.

Shub, Six

Worked more on Shub's legs. The fur is done, and I darkened up the skin around the wounds a bit. The pink was still bothering me. Next I'll move on to the body. I'll probably shade and highlight the main body, and then start working on the eyes and mouths and things.

I also started her. This is going to be a quick piece to practice working from a photo. This is Six, from Battlestar Galactica. Or will be.

Shub - Leg wounds and Fur

I did the wounds on his legs (ick!) and the skin around them, and got a first layer of highlight on the fur on one leg. Not thrilled with the color of the skin around the wounds (too pink), but I'm going to wait and see how it looks with the fur done before deciding if I'm going to do anything else with it.

I will need to put some shadow areas back on that fur, too.

Shub - hooves, legs

I'm working from the bottom up on Shubby. I put some highlights on the hooves that I'm still not sure how I feel about. Then I started on those wounds on his legs. I'll finish those, then the skin around the wounds, and finally the fur.

Yes, it's been a while. I've been busy with household projects, but I did get this far. This is airbrushing  a base coat on Shubby. The top is airbrushed purple; the fur on the legs is dark brown.
