Yay! Finally got back to Takhi. I worked on finishing off the leather today, which meant adding the highlights.
I'm pretty happy with it. Now I've mostly just got details and touch-up to do on him, which means I better get cracking on his base.
Also, here's a group shot of all the gaming minis I did that will be finding their home next week.

Hunter: Shading
Back from Origins and back to painting! I'm going to try to clear some of the half-finished stuff off my table. Remember this guy? I'd been planning to do a diorama for competition with him. Well, it wasn't going to be a very good diorama, so now I'm just going to finish him up.
I think not using this piece for competition is a good idea. Just starting on the shading, I'm finding that getting to all the spots is a challenge. He'd be very frustrating to do to a competition level. So, I'm going to aim for good gaming quality and practice with his base. I'll still put him on a swamp base, just a smaller one. That'll be some good basing practice for me.

10!
As expected, finished Anwyn today. She's not awesome but will do adequately for table top.
I'll get a group picture of the whole batch after these have some sealer on them.

9! Almost.
Finished off Dub, only to find I had some paint rub off from his hair. Sigh. I'll fix that tomorrow, and then he'll really be done. To which I say good riddance. I don't like this guy at all. I've already discussed the face, and the highlight and shadow colors I picked for his cloak look terrible. Brown shadows can make things look dirty, which is what happened here.
Started on the last of this batch of Bones, which is Anwyn here. I'm going to try to get her done this weekend. Hey, at least she has a real face.

Dub: Leather, Cloak
Didn't get as far as I'd hoped. The paint that I used on his cloak started to lift off when I shaded it, so I had to set it aside to give it a good long time to dry before shading. I started cleaning up the next piece in the meantime.

Dub: Bunch of Stuff
I actually finished his skin yesterday and forgot to post. His hair and clothing I did today. At this rate, I might get him finished off tomorrow!
And to show just how awful his face is, here's a straight on view. With the mold line that ran down the middle of it, I don't know if I can make it any better in paint. Well, I can at least fix that eyebrow. The nose shape and mouth...not so much.

8!
Finished up Nienna today as I'd hoped, even though I lost some time to re-configuring my work space again. More kitten losses - I usually sit on one of those big exercise balls while I paint. It's better for my back. Today, it wouldn't hold enough air. I think little needle claws have taken a toll.
Here's Nienna. I'm not happy with her sword, but other than that she's good enough. Well, even the sword is going to have to be good enough, as I'm not going to go back.
Started the next one. This is Dub, and along with having a silly name, he is a thief. He also had a big mold line running right through the middle of his face, so I'm not hopeful for what his expression will end up being. I guess he's just a Charisma 6 kind of guy. That's too bad, because I've painted this guy in metal and I like the figure.

Nienna: Cloak and Stuff
Got in a bunch of work on Nienna today. I'm hopeful I'll finish her tomorrow.
Everything is done except the parts that are going to be metal and the base. What's with the light blue and greens? Those are areas where the metallic will go - blue for silver, green for gold.
I'm not sure if I like the orange or not, but I think it'll be OK. That extra pop of contrast might be nice.

Nienna: Clothing, Armor
I want to finish Nienna and two more of these Bones guys by the end of the month, which is when whatever I have finished will be delivered to their final home. So, I'll be focusing on them for a while. Also probably rushing them.
I decided to just make the cloth/armor/whatever for her all brown, with a green tunic/scale armor on her torso. The cloak will be dark green.
