Finished his crest and armor today.
The spear head is purple as an undercoat for the steel metallic that will go on there eventually. Next I will probably do the saddle and his belt, which will all be leather. Probably all the same leather.

Lizardman: Skin
Put highlights on the lizard man's skin. Wasn't a whole lot of highlight spots. I also did his eyes. Next will be the red bits - his crest, and a few other spots.
And, finished the practice dummy. I'm definitely out of practice on that. Not sure if I'll use that one or not.

4!
Here's the librarian with her base. Might have gone a bit overboard with the grass. I wanted to put some on because I figured grass usually sprouts up in the cracks in pavement about 30 seconds after the crack forms.
Also got back to this guy. Remember him? I started him months ago. Now I'm going to try to clear him off the table ASAP. In part to make room for my ReaperCon pieces. In part because I'm really sick of these lizard men. :p I shaded the skin today.

Librarian: Everything Else
Wrapped up everything else on the librarian, except I need to base her. Not bad for rushing through the end.
I've also been working on pieces for my diorama. First, another crack at a practice dummy. I've done the sticks so far.
Also, I may need a partly open sack, so I'm starting to practice that. Probably need to get some feedback on that one. I think I ought to have puts some wrinkles in around the rope, though.

Librarian: Jacket, Leather
So, now starts the work on my ReaperCon contest entries. I'm planning to do a diorama and a single figure. The diorama is something I started working on a while back but never made much progress on. I played a little bit with laying it out today.
The idea is a ranger in her camp practicing sword play with a dummy. Those are not the actual pieces I'm going to use. I have an unpainted version of the same figure, I've got a different practice dummy and will work on another couple to see if I can get one I like better, and I'm going to make a bigger tree. At the base of the tree there is some camping gear.
However, before I can put much work into the competition pieces, I need to clear the partly done stuff off my table. First, I'm finishing the librarian. I highlighted the jacket and put a brown base coat on the boots and other leather bits. The highlights on the jacket could be smoother, but she's no longer a competition piece. Now I'm just trying to get her done.

Trophies!
Back from GenghisCon. I put the Templar in the competition in Single Figure Under 40mm, and did pretty well!
That's 1st in my category, and 1st runner up to Best in Show. Not too shabby!

Librarian: Hood
So, I cleaned up the base colors on her hood and jacket, and then went on and put highlights on the hood. So far, so good. I like the Burgundy Wine on the green. Not sold on the orange.

Librarian: Highlights on dress, shading on jacket and hood.
Got back to her. I put highlights on her dress, and started shading the jacket and her hood. I'm using the Michael Proctor favorite Burgundy Wine, with my favorite Dark Elf Shadow in the deepest shadows. The Burgundy Wine is a more saturated color than I usually use. I find it really interesting how different it looks on the green from on the orange.
I need to smooth the blends on the orange a bit, and bring some of the mid tone back on parts of the jacket. I'll be going toward yellow in the highlights on both.

Templar: Done! Maybe.
Finished the last bits and touch-ups. I may come back and make adjustments, though. We'll see. I wish I could bring up the highlights on the red a bit,
Also worked on her base. I'm going to put a few tufts of grass on, and I think that'll be it for this. It might be...a little overworked.
