Finished him!

Dragon: Base

I gave the dragon proper a rest tonight and worked on the base. Need to add a lot of vegetation.

Dragon: Wings, plates

Finished the wings, and got the start of a base coat on the chest and shin areas that hadn't yet been painted. I'm going to pretend they are bony armor plates or something. I like the beige color, but it's going to take a couple more coats to cover well.

Dragon: Tail, Fins, Wings

Got highlights on the rest of the tail and the fins, and started on the wings. Next time I should finish the wings. I'm happier with the highlights now that they are on most of the dragon.

Dragon: More scales and claws

Did the scales and claws on his other side, then moved on to the tail. Next I'll finish the tail and then probably move on to the fins.

Dragon: Scales, Claws

 Highlights on more of the dragon, and did the claws on the feet of the parts I highlighted.

Dragon: Wings, Fins, Face

Got the lighter green on the wings and fins. Then I finished highlighting his head and finished the face details.

Dragon: Wings, Fins

Started on the wings and fins. Got all the spines done, started on the membranes. Missed the spines on the back of the right wing, will get that next time. It's starting to feel kinda like a skinny, winged Godzilla, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Dragon: More Scales

 More scales. I'll finish this first lighter green on the wings and fins, and then move to the next lighter green.

Dragon: Shading and mid-tone scales

 I got some shading on the dragon and started putting mid tone on the scales. Maybe a quarter of the way done with that?

Here's the other thing I've been working on, all done!

Dragon: Base Coat

Yes, I've been away for a while. I've been working on a thing that's too big to photograph easily, so once it's done I'll get pictures. That might be tomorrow. I have also started on this:

If the base looks like there's random stuff stuck on there, that's because there is. I put this guy on his base years ago, I didn't think about what kind of basing I was going to want, and I didn't leave myself a lot of options. So, there it is. But the good news is I'm finally going to finish this thing that's been sitting on my shelf for ages!

Finished Argos. Half way to the goal for the year, a little less than half way through the year!
