Natasha: Shading Skin

Got in a first round of shadow on Natasha's skin. I'll be switching to a cooler shadow after this, because, well, vampire.

Finished Lupa. That's two for this month! Not sure why the sealer came out more glossy this time. Probably I didn't shake it enough.

I also did some work on Natasha today. Base coat on the skin, and filled in some of the extra holes drilled while getting her set up on the plinth.

Next Project: Natasha

I could have finished up Lupa tonight, but instead I prepped the next piece. This is Natasha. The holes I drilled for the pin into the plinth isn't straight and isn't centered. The one going into the figure took three tries to get angled correctly, and the third try was my husband doing it. So, I'm off to a wonderful start. :p I'll get back to Lupa next time.

Lupa: Leather, Metal

 Finished up the leather on Lupa and base coated the metal. I need to shade and highlight the metal, and then it'll be on to the base. One more session, I think.

Lupa: Fur, Leather

I did fur, and started base coating the leather straps and bits. The fur is done; the leather needs to have the base coat finished and then go from there. I also have some cleanup to do afterwards where I slopped paint where it wasn't supposed to go. :p

Lupa: Hair, Cloth

I got highlights on Lupa's hair tonight, and did the cloth bits. I think probably next will be the fur.

Lupa: Skin Shade & Highlight

 Shaded and did highlighting on Lupa's skin, and did her eyes. Hair next.

Lupa: Skin, Hair

 I've been working on prep for a couple new projects. They aren't ready for pictures yet, but as soon as they are I'll get something up. This one actually is ready. This is Lupa, another Arena Rex gladiator. I've base coated her skin and hair here.

Here's Aemilia done. Well, I need to put a coat of sealer on her, which I will do next time. But she's done enough to count.

Aemilia: Fur, Leather, Bronze

Finished up the fur and leather. Not loving the shoes, but not hating it enough that I feel likely to change it. Then I started on the parts I'm going to do as bronze. They're base coated, need shading and highlights. Then it's just the spear tip left, which I'm going to do as steel, and the base. Just two or three more sessions, I think.

Aemilia: Cloth, Leather, Fur

 Finished the beige cloth on Aemilia, and put a base coat on the fur, leather straps, and haft of her spear. Missed the sandals. Next will be finishing off all the dark brown areas, and then moving on to the metal.

Aemilia: Clothes

Finished the blue cloth, and base coated the beige parts. Wanted to get a little farther today but had some other things going on.

Aemilia: Hair, Clothes

I continued on with Aemilia today. I finished her hair and base coated and shaded her clothing and the little flag on her spear - everything that's going to be blue. Next I'll highlights the blues and then start on the other cloth areas. I need to double check if that blue area on the side of her face is paint that got there by accident, or just reflection from the banner on the spear.

Started my June figure. This is Aemilia, from Arena Rex. I did her skin and face tonight; hair will be next.

What's with all the Arena Rex figures? Well, I have a bunch ready for paint, and of all the lines of figures I have, this one is small enough that I could actually paint it all if I really tried. Am I going to? Well, no, not this year. But for now, these are what I'm working on. Until I feel like doing something else.
