Finished up Drax today.

Drax: bits, base

Almost, but not quite, finished Drax today. I finished up the leathers, his gun and other bits. I started on the base but didn't have time to finish it. Should be done next time.

Drax: Pants, Bits

 Put highlights on Drax's pants, and started base coating his boots and other leather bits. The base coat needs a couple more layers.

Drax: Shirt, Pants

 I got in a little work on Drax today. I've shaded and highlighted his shirt, and base coated his pants.

I just noticed that his proportions look kind weird in the pictures...I don't think it's that way live, but now I need to look for that next time.

Drax: Skin, Hair, Shirt

 Continued on Drax today. Finished his skin, face, and hair, and got a base coat on his shirt.

Hm, I don't love the shape of the highlights on the back of his arms. Might have to fix that.

Drax: Skin

This is Drax, from Hasslefree. He's been primed and waiting for paint for a while now. I'm working on him while prepping my next commission piece. I got a base skin tone and a round of shadow in on him today.

 Finished up the wraith today. Very quick piece. Turns out this is a Grenadier figure.

And why yes, that is a bit of yellow in the highlights.

I found this guy in a random box of old minis. I'm not even sure where it came from, but it's an old mini. Anyway, it's going to be a quick little paint before I start on another bigger project and a commission piece. I'm playing with some colors a bit. This has a base coat and a first round of shadow.

I finished Jack tonight. Which is not to say there isn't more I could do with him (there is) or things that could be improved (there definitely are), but as I was putting highlights on the feather, I realized...I'm done. There's more I could do, but I have had enough of this guy. It's time to move on.

Jack: Still the feather, rose, and stand.

Still working on finishing up Jack. I got shading on the stand, and highlights on the feather and rose. Need more on both of those. I also added a peacock feather eye on the feather. I don't love it, but I'd rather have it than not. The feather doesn't have the shine a peacock feather does, so it doesn't look much like it's supposed to. I should be able to bring some more shine to the feather when I add more highlights.

In any case, he's almost done. Another session, maybe two.
