More shading on Takhi's lather bits. Still need to go back with a darker shade color, but it's coming along.
I also finished Nienna's face, hands, and hair. Her eyes were a huge pain. They're basically pits on the side of her face, tucked under the hood of her cloak. Next will be her clothes and armor under the cloak. The details are soft, so I will need to find some painted examples to get a sense of what details are there. Or, I might just paint the whole thing brown and call it good.
And I started on Micon's skin. Had to go back with a few more coats of sealer in a few spots, but I think he's in pretty good shape now. There are still some lines up around his hands that I might have to do more with.

Takhi: Shading Leather, Micon: Primer
I continued work on Takhi's leather today, finishing the base coat and starting to shade it. I'll go back with a darker shadow as well.
Also, I put primer on Micon and filled in some cracks and ridges with brush-on sealer. I'll base coat his skin next, as we'll see how good a job I did.
His helmet there is on the end of a q-tip, to help hold it until I can glue it on to Micon, Right now it'd just be in the way of painting his arms and shoulders.

Takhi: Leather & Nienna
As promised, got back to Takhi. Put some highlights on his necklace and started putting the base coat on all his leather things.
Also started Nienna, part of the gaming figure project. She's got a ton of bits and straps and things, so she may take a while to finish.

Micon: Prep
I started work on my next 'just for fun' project. This is Micon, from Arena Rex and Red Republic Games. I cleaned up the figure some previously. Today I was fixing some pits and bubbles with Green Stuff.
He'll need some spots smoothed with brush on sealer as well. So, between that and priming, it'll take a couple more sessions before he's ready for paint.
I am still going to get back to Takhi soon, I just didn't feel like it tonight.

Juliette: Dress and Sundries
Put shading and highlights on Juliette's dress and base coated her boots and other leather bits. It's a very simple figure, but I'm pretty happy with how she's going so far. I hope to finish her in the next day or two.

Juliette: Hair, Dress
I actually did this yesterday, just forgot to get pictures. I did Juliette's hair and started her dress. I think I can live with the bad casting. It really only shows on her face badly from one angle.

Juliette: Skin
I didn't have a lot of free time today, so I worked on Juliette a little. I did the shading and highlighting of her skin and some facial details - eyes and lips. Her hands and the side of her face are pretty badly cast. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to overlook those defects in the final product.

6!
Yes, it's been a while. I was rushing a commission for a while, and then travelling for a week or so.
While I was travelling I did get this guy done. It's a Bones piece for gaming quality.
Also talked to some people about Takhi's fur and got some suggestions on how to improve that. It was all making the highlighting rougher and more irregular. Fur isn't an even surface the way nicely groomed hair is. So, I did that, and I'm much happier with it. Still looks a little weird to me, but I think that's mostly because I'm not used to critters. I also changed his eyes to make him look more forward, and I think that's better. Also started on his necklaces.
