'Shiny' happe...You're absolutely right. 'Shiny' happens when you have narrow, bright highlights, which is what was going on there. The pants are supposed to be kinda generi-cotton, or maybe wool...not denim specifically, but definitely not shiny. So I went back with some glazes to broaden the highlights and dull them down. Hopefully I didn't go too far the other direction! I also added some brighter highlights to the vest.
